At Unity of Albany, we have an array of distinguished speakers that present thought-and -spirit provoking talks to enlighten its members.
Dr. Reverend Linda Garrett
Rev Dr Linda F Garrett is an Albany native raised in a traditional Missionary Baptist Church. She has a Masters in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and worked in the mental health field for 25
yrs. She then went to Seminary and obtain a M.Div. in 1998 and a Doctorate in Spiritual Psychology in 2000. She continues to work in the disability field. Throughout her Spiritual
upbringing she was always seeking to understand how the biblical stories played out in her daily life. When she discovered metaphysical teachings in the mid 90’s she found her spiritual path.
She has served in several minstrel roles in new thought churches prior to her return to the Albany area. Once back in Albany she found Unity and has served her since 2008. Her goal is to help
others see the Bible’s relativeness in our daily lives as means of support and not condemnation.
Reverend Joe Clift
Joe W. Clift, D. Min. is an Episcopal priest, teacher, and marriage and family therapist. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Vandebilt University and Doctor of Ministry degree from University of the South. Since 1989 he has been pastor of several Episcopal Churches in the state of Georgia. He was director of Albany Pastoral Counseling Center from 1996 to 2013. He has been a speaker at Unity Church of Albany, Georgia for the last ten years. He is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
Judee Light
Dr. Kathleen Ellis
Kathleen Ellis is a spiritual educator working with the Peace Movement International. She is a physical therapist for over 40 years in the Albany, Georgia area, is on the board of Unity Church, Albany, and is a board member for IPM International and two other spiritual non profit organizations based on the work of Dr. Francisco Coll.
Kathleen has been presenting programs to help people deal with stress and wellness for the past 40 years, and presents programs for IPM International and PCC International.
She is a certified consultant and spiritual educator trained
by Wayshower's College.
